Equity Transfers was founded in 1995 after the founders sold their interest in the largest unit manufacturer of diagnostic imaging equipment in the world at that time, Bennett X-Ray Technologies. Under their leadership Bennett created a multitude of high technology world and market leading medical devices. Bennett gained global recognition and received multiple honors, including the President of the United States of America's "E" Award for Excellence in Exporting, New York State's Excelsior Award, Diagnostic Imaging's Innovation of the Year Award, The Global Vision 2000 Award, The America Cancer Society's Corporate Caring Award, and ACIT's Business Leadership Award. New York's Governor Cuomo is quoted as calling Bennett a "Metaphor for economic development in the State of New York," and quoted the Company in over 35 speeches including the State of the State Address.

After the sale of Bennett to a Fortune 500 NYSE company, the founders decided to use their skills to help other companies and investors create wealth through merger and acquisition activities, development of markets, or creation of products. Collectively, they have been involved in dozens of mergers, acquisitions and development projects which began in the Aerospace, Medical and Real Estate industries and have grown into virtually all sectors of the economy.

Mike Muzzy is a founder and the President of Equity Transfers. Mr. Muzzy has twenty-five years of experience with middle-market companies as a private equity professional, consultant and accountant. Prior to founding Equity Transfers, Mr. Muzzy held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Director of Mergers, Acquisitions and Strategic Planning of Bennett X-Ray Technologies. He was a Manager of Accounting and Auditing at a national accounting firm where he served on the firm's National Quality Inspection Team and lead their Real Estate and Leisure Time Group for the Long Island Region.

The staff at Equity Transfers is a multifaceted group of seasoned professionals with experiences spanning many industries and includes attorneys, licensed real estate professionals, Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). They have been involved in consulting and acquisition activity with a diverse group of companies including: Thermo Electron, Northrup Grumman, Gendex, World Yacht, Twin Lab, The Sprout Group, The Fleming Companies, Novamed Eyecare, TLC Vision, Prime Medical, General Electric and many other private equity groups and public and private companies.
